Communication and Employability Skills: Web Based Communication Channels

Introduction

The task that we had to do was to present a powerpoint presentation about information on web based communication. For example; video conferencing, podcasting and blogging.

The audience that we had to present the presentation to was clients of the Rainbow organisation. I worked alongside with Connor Fitzpatrick who is also volunteer of the Rainbow organisation.

I found working in a team to be great because we shared the workload out evenly which meant that we got more done. I found presenting the group very easy as they listened very well and looked like they were showing an interest.

After the presentation I was given feedback on my interpersonal skills. I was told that I spoke loudly and clearly to the class and that I used open body language. I also used hand movements as I was explaining things and made a good amount of eye contact. I made sure not to make people feel uncomforable by staring at them.

I was also given feedback on my powerpoint. It was highly detailed, well layed out and contained a lot of useful information. I also used images and made sure not to write too much as it was a powerpoint presentation.
